As the end of lockdown nears, people are deliberating over their summer holiday destinations. Yet with covid still very much on people’s minds, what’s the best way to have a safe holiday in 2021?

  1. Enjoy a Great British staycation to avoid any overseas holidays you might have to cancel. With countries imposing quarantines, banning foreign tourists and airlines cancelling flights with a moment’s notice, it’s financially safer to stay in the UK this year.

  2. Opt for holidays in the outdoors to minimalise covid transmissions, such as vintage caravan glamping. You can even do this if you don’t own a caravan!

  3. Find sites where shared facilities are kept to a minimum, everything is self-contained and where the caravans or holiday lets you’re in are not too close together.

  4. Go to destinations that are in less crowded destinations, such as caravan glamping sites close to national parks or less populated areas. (The South Downs, the Scottish Highlands and the Peak District, for example.)
